Retooling a national tech story

See Tomorrow First is NZTE’s global Tech Story: a platform designed to showcase New Zealand’s innovation sector and help local companies tell a stronger, more unified story offshore. When I joined the project, the brand had strong intent but needed clearer strategic alignment with the wider NZTE brand framework and a more cohesive creative expression to support its next phase of growth.

I worked closely with internal stakeholders to clarify the brand’s role, sharpen its narrative and ensure it sat comfortably within the broader NZTE ecosystem. This involved retooling the brand strategy and guidelines and refining the creative direction so teams could apply the brand with more confidence and consistency.

The work resulted in a fully integrated Tech Story that now sits cleanly within the NZTE brand – clearer in purpose and aligned in expression.
